Your contribution helps us reach communities across London and share our plans for the city.
London changed my life.
I came to this city in 2001 with very little. I worked, studied, built businesses, taught, mentored and served.
Along the way, London opened doors for me.
I have never forgotten what that means.
I also know that having talent is not always enough. Sometimes what changes a person’s life is simply having the opportunity to get through the first door.
That is why I am stepping forward.
I want to help build a London where opportunity is not determined by where you were born, where you live or who you know.
Nobody stands at a bus stop at six in the morning thinking about left or right.
They are thinking about whether they will get to work on time.
Whether the street felt safe last night.
Whether they can afford their rent.
Whether their children will find a job.
Whether their business will survive another year.
Whether they can afford to stay in the city they call home.
These are practical problems
They need practical answers.
WHY AN INDEPENDENT MOVEMENT?
I am standing as an independent because I want this movement to begin with Londoners rather than a party machine.
That does not mean I believe people should agree on everything.
They won’t.
London is too diverse for that.
But people who disagree on many political questions can still agree that young people deserve opportunity, communities deserve to feel safe, businesses deserve the chance to grow and Londoners deserve to be heard.
Our differences do not have to prevent us from working together.
WHY NOW?
London is a remarkable city, but opportunity does not always feel equally accessible.
Young Londoners are navigating a changing labour market.
Housing costs place pressure on families and workers.
Transport shapes how easily people can reach jobs and education.
Businesses on our high streets are trying to adapt.
And communities want to feel safe, connected and heard.
These challenges require serious work, not slogans.
I believe now is the time to listen carefully, understand the evidence and develop practical solutions with Londoners.
